What's your specialty?

I speciallize in big systems - mostly IBM. I have a large S/3 system
(drives and printer included), a bunch of unit-record and S/360 era
things, a couple of S/1s, S/36, a weird RS/6000, and eventually an 1131. I
have a few other systems that I will keep for various reasons, but most of
the things I do not want have left over the past two years. The others
include a SGI 4D/380 and IRIS 2500T, a busted Convex C240, a couple of
Interdatas, some old DEC stuff, and a TMC CM-5.

I will, however, try to get any pre-1970 mainframe stuff - even if not IBM.

Computers, however, are my second hobby. My first and true hobby is
collecting big old military electronics, from the 1920s thru the 1950s.
It consists of mostly radar parts, but I do have a few rather large radio
items as well. I think the radio and radar collection outweighs the
computer collection by quite a bit.

It all gets housed in a 35' by 35' building, located right behind my
house. I purchased the house from an artist - the building was his
studio. It has lots of power and light, but no real floor (this spring's
project). Once the floor is poured, the collection will become
presentable - and those local or passing thru the area are welcome to
visit by appointment. I detest the idea of people that lock away their
goodies just for themselves.
