microfiche to .tiff files - suggestions?

I wish to transfer docs on microfiche sheets [~ 4" x 6", ~98 pages per
fiche] to black/white, group 4 compressed .tiff files. Has anybody had
success with this - commercially or otherwise - in a cost-effective fashion?
