Hey! I have a dual tower SCSI case (alas, missing its faceplate and drive
sleds) that has 8 full height or 16 HH openings in it. I don't think that
is too insane :P
I think the case is a clone sun enclosure, and uses 50 pin D-Sub type
connectors for the SCSI chain. Does anyone know anything about it?

Well, that only works for *wide* devices. Most all of the tape drives
you'll be needing that are SCSI will be the narrow variety. Some will be
10Mb/s (fast SCSI), but a large number of the older drives will be 5Mb/s.
