Well it does have somthing to do with that, because the
higher the resolution your camera is using, the bigger
(in bytes) your picture is. If I take low resolution pictures
at 640x480 then I can fit many more in the same smartcard than
if I take them at Highest resolution. (I always use the highest
res. If it's worth taken a picture, it's worth taken a good
picture).

I have a 1.3 megapixel camera and it makes 1024x768 pictures
that are in 459K files. Photo Editor tells me the pictures are
24 bits deep. 144 pixels/Inch..
