This was done many years ago after a famous case in which a wife glued
her unfaithful husband to himself as he slept (no... she didn't cut
anything off, but the doctors just about did). I belive the solvent
that breaks the bonds in the current formulation is acetone.

My dad used to have a small bottle of "Eastman 910" adhesive in the early
1970s. _That_ wasn't deliberately weakened.

It sure would be nice if it were possible to make your own adhesive
monomer at home... I've made rayon, nylon and bakelite from scratch[1],
but I suspect that cyanoacrilate would be a bit much for an amateur.
