Destructive charities (was: STAPLES STORES...)

Safety and conviencence features..... I hate them both. Sure I like a
cup holder, but why does everything have to be "new and improved"?
Usally it's not improved, just different, and it may not even work as
well as what came before. My grandpaprents don't even know how to trun
the dome light in the van anymore. They bought a new Chevy Venture a
year ago, and it's got so many "features" and changes that they can't do
much with it except point it in the direction they need to go.

Also, my truck has DRL's. I guess GM thinks I'm too stupid to turn the
lights on myself. Actually it's probably not GM, they are just
responding to the "safety" desires of the masses. The really stupid
thing is that the DRL's are just on the front. If I'm concerned that
people aren't going to see me, I want to have my rear lights on too!
Windowsitis, would be a good name for this kind of thing.
