Look into some commercial software called 'RayGun'. I use it with Bias
Peak, and a Darla24 soundcard on my PowerMac 8500/180. All told it makes
for a very nice Digital Audio Workstation. The hardware and software was
well worth the investment! I just need to find the time to convert more of
my music that's not available on CD.
Also as Glen suggests save the data on CD-R first, THEN, you can consider
coverting them to MP3.
