Or for that matter, who hasn't met a "liquidator" who made a
living by being able to poker-face "Well, I think it might
be worth about fifteen-hundred..." when in truth they have
no idea what it is, but all they know is that it came on a pallet
along with all the rest of the haul from Place XYZ?

At least this guy said "To be honest, VAX is not something
we have an expertise in, so this could be diamond in the
rough, or not."

On the flip side, I'm reminded of advice from "The Tightwad
Gazette". The fastest and easiest way to get a discount?
A method always worth trying? Hold your palms up, shrug
your shoulders and say, "What, no discounts for loyal,
returning customers?" You have nothing to lose, and all
to gain. Three seconds of talk might get a 25% discount.
What's the per-hour ROI on that?
