I emailed a seller once who claimed that his Alpha LX164 board would
take any ECC registered PC100 DIMMs. I've demonstrated to my [very
expensive] satisfaction that that is not true. I understand that it's
possible to "flash" the registers to work, _usually_.
So I sent the seller that info, told him that I wasn't bidding either
way, and that his listing was otherwise very reasonable.
As far as I can tell, his email addy was aliased to /dev/null. He
neither replied nor amended his listing.
