Sorry, I was not at all commenting on the Microdata. It is indeed a very
historic machine.
What I was commenting on, at the expense of launching yet another
off-topic flame war (here's a hint: don't reply to this message; ignore
me...you'll live longer), is the fact that Pat decided to just throw the
item on eBay and then announce the auction here, rather than offering it
to the list first.
I find that to be rude.
