Wangtek tape drive rollers (was: Re: TU-58 dumps ...)

Has anyone tried replacing the rollers of old Wangtek drives with bits of
rubber hose? Ideally, I'd like to find an inexpensive source for original
rollers, but I don't currently know of one.
