OpenVMS license expiration date

That's my understanding, too: you have to renew every year. German
people will understand what I mean by commenting "same procedure as
every year, Miss Sophie?" Let's hope VMS will get as old as her.
"Cheerio, Miss Sophie!!!"

Another bit: the expiration date of a license is being checked when the
license is LOADED, not when it is USED. That means, once you loaded a
license before it has expired (usually by booting your VMS before this
date), the system will not recognize that the license has become invalid
until you LICENSE UNLOAD <product> or reboot.

You may want to keep track of expiration dates to avoid surprises.
