I picked up a 50-pin-cable-to-68-pin-device from the local Microcenter a
while back. It's marked `ACTIVE' for some reason. Does the high byte on a
device need to be terminated too?

I believe Microcenter is a mailorder outfit, they might have a
comprehensive catalog somewhere. If there's a store local to you, it might
be a fun place to visit. Mostly expen$ive, but the place here was pretty
poorly managed, and some good deals could be found where the computer spit
out an obviously wrong price. (It goes both ways though-- I pointed out a
drive pigtail IIRC that was marked $49.95. The salescritter said it had to
be the right price. YMMV)
