I'm still waiting for someone to start selling something similar to the old
RadioShack/Tandy "Science Fair" kit (the one with the breadboard - was it
the 300 In One?) and include a section in the guide about hooking it up to a
computer using a buffer board and printer cable. Then introduce kids to
EPROMs and teach them how to design a microprocessor on a computer (or by
hand) :-)
In fact, I might have to do that myself :-)
