All but one of my 2940/3940 devices are broken so I haven't tried this with
them, but it works fine with the Wide SCSI controllers I am using. I have one
cheapie from SIIG with both narrow and wide connectors on the board and it
works fine with a mix of narrow, wide, and SCA drives, which have wide
adapters on them, BTW.
