There should be a little slide switch at the back. When it is
up it will use that port (3 - with the printer icon) at
whatever speed: usually 9600 8-N.

I've never tried via a minicom - do you have a
dumb terminal, preferably a VT200/300/400
and a known good set of connectors and cables?
