Probably an OK price, though if you're lucky(?) you may find a whole 3100 for
less than that (though shipping would be more)

        Clock speed is the main difference. I've heard (but never developed
the ambition to check) that the 30/40 models have slower cache memory than the
38/48s, and yes, people have succesfully overclocked them. Then again, if you
want PC reliability, no need to overclock the VAX, just get a PC...
