 "Flux changes-per-inch. The linear recording density defined
  as the number of flux changes-per-inch of data track.
  Synonymous with flux reversals-per-inch (FRPI). In MFM
  recording 1 FCPI equals 1 bit per inch (BPI). In RLL encoding
  schemes, 1 FCI generally equals 1.5 BPI. "
