Assuming it was possible, would there also be some way to distinguish
which list the traffic was coming from? That way, those individuals who
want to limit themselves to the "non-junk" list would be able to see the
"junk" they would not get if they wanted to limit themselves to just
the technical stuff.

As for how it could be done, if you added a new list called:
classiccmpjunk_at_classiccmp.org
then anyone who subscribed to the new list and the old list
(or just the new list if comparing names was non-trivial -
in which case anyone on the new list would still receive
all posts to the old list) would receive all messages.

Naturally, the name I used was just an example.
