The NEC processors were just that, processors. It was also possible to
buy a card from Intel that had a 386 processor on it, that plugged into
an ISA slot and also into the 8088 processor socket. That was part of
Intel's "Inboard" line of products.
I think I may have a NEC V20 somewhere.
