Reading old disks on Linux

Hi Patrick
 I think you might try looking at:

This stuff is specific to doing cpm stuff but the
basics are there. One should be able to modify this
quickly to deal with any format that the hardware supports.
I've not looked at it closely but suspect it has what you need.
