Broken mouse! - fixed

Thanks for all the helpful comments.

After taking the mouse apart, I realised that my original diagnostic was
incorrect. It only has one LED, the other "LED" is actually a sensor.

The problem turned out to be simple, one of the shperical plastic lenses
had come adrift when the mouse was dropped.
