Altair-what do I do first

        I was actually thinking more of the Hard Year thread, which has degenerated
way too far. This thread was interesting with some good recommendations
about do's and dont's.

Should it arrive, there are many people whoo can give you reliable
advice, off-list. Apparently some
people have the idea that threads have some preset life-span, no matter
how on-topic they might be.
