There are certainly cards that don't work in the expansion unit, due to
timing problems (the extra delay of the buffers on the extender/receiver
cards). I think graphics cards -- in fact any card with RAM above the
640K boundary -- don't work in the expansion unit for this reason, but I
would have to re-read the techref to be sure.
