   The one big problem that I've found is that at some surplus operations
they take ALL the cables including the LA pods and dump them into one huge
lot. Usually some scrap metal operation buys that lot for the copper scrap
so the pods get trashed along with the wire. I ran into the same probelm
when I was looking for interface pods for the HP-85s, HP-9825s etc. FWIW I
ALWAYS look through the scrap wire bins when I go to the scrap/surplus
places (if they allow it). I nearly always find usefull items in their
including lots of O'scope probes. The people at the scrap/surplus
operations are too ignorant or too lazy to pull out the pods/probes and put
them with the items that they belong to.

   Sheesh, I found a Tektronix pouch with the 1240 pods and plug-ins in it
but I haven't been able to find a 1240 or 1241 at a reasonable price!
