I'd be curious to know what onboard computer systems they've used over
the years. Honeywell Space Systems has an interesting page with a
mention of some Shuttle and ISS related computers:

Most of it is rather vague, though there are mentions of Intel
processors with added mathcoprocessors. And there's a mention of
a 32-bit 80960 in there.

I wonder what they were using during the early 1980s.
