What is a HP 98029A Resource Management Interface?

Shared Resource Manager is a form of network file sharing. The SRM adapters for the 9000 200/300 series computers are common around here and I've seen the adapters for the 98xx computers. But I've never been able to find out much about the file server end of SRM.
