Attach 5-1/4 diskette - HOW

I wish I could find an external 5-1/4" diskette drive that I could attach
via USB to DELL 8200 (XP PRO), DELL T500 (Win98SE) or IBM Thinkpad 500
(Win3.11).

Does anybody know if it is possible and if it is please tell me where to
buy it or how to make it.

In my research I have been told by a few computer shops that what I want to
do is done on the IMAC all the time since it does not have a diskette
drive. That makes sense. Is it ever done with a 5-1/4" diskette drive. If
so could I somehow use it with USB connection on a PC?
