The connector on the 5.25" external disk drive for a GRiDCase 3 uses the
"expansion connector" on the computer. IIRC the drive has one on the
top of the drive case and one on the bottom, both at the back and they
can pivot 90 degrees or so. They are meant to allow more than one
peripheral to be stacked, the bottom connector of one mating to the top
of the other. At one end there would be a cable that went to the
computer. It isn't SCSI, but more likely similar to a pre-ISA (like
maybe the 8-bit one) bus connector. Other peripherals included a hard
drive, but I can't remember what else.
