Non crap plastic glue

I used JB Weld on my IBM PS/2 Model 80 case. It has a post with a
threaded insert in the end, for mounting the power supply. The thing
snapped off at some point and I used JB Weld to fix it. I was a bit
concerned that it wouldn't hold because it's tall and will be exposed to
some shear forces. It's held fine so far.
