In case anyone hasn't figured it out yet, VCF isn't a huge profit
event, in fact I'm guessing that Sellam is lucky if he breaks even.
To this end, I'm guessing that his choice of location might be
determined by three major factors:
1. low cost (of free) conference space
2. a location which will draw the greatest number of people (both
exhibitors and viewers), while considering (1) above
3. a location which speakers are willing to come to
My preference is the Boston area, but I might be willing to drive
to other locations. It is 1000 each way for me to the Boston area,
so CT would not be that much different, I would just know fewer
people and my room would not be free.
I've been thinking that maybe if someplace like RCS has enough space
for the event, they might be able to host it, sort of like the CHM
in CA... Then we would be able to see a greater portion of their
collection without their having to transport it.
