DEC M750 flipchip? Also 680/i, DL8/i, DC08A

Using the information provided here on the list, I have finally answered
this question to my own satisfaction.

Given that an M750 is a dual TTY MUX, I looked into communication equipment
for the 8/i and found the use of M750 modules. According to the Small
Computer Handbook (1970), the 680/i communications system is a PDP-8/i with
a DL8/i option. A DL8/i is capable of handling up to 128 terminal lines.

"Line servicing capability is implemented in a module two fashion using dual
Type M750 Serial Line Units."

I have no idea what "module two fashion" is (sounds like something from a
Paris runway). Nor indeed much of an idea what they are talking about.

Except that the DL8/i is a moby TTY MUX and the M750 is used in it.

Does anyone have a DL8/i (DC08A) that needs some more M750s :-)?

Thanks again for your help!

    Vince
