I follow the journal of one of the admins of spies.com

and she mentioned that the server in question has had some disk problems
over the past few days, along with the Linux kernel crashing (which it
almost never does unless 1) you're running the latest bleeding edge
development kernel, 2) it's a known bad stable version (2.4.20 is one to
really avoid) or 3) the hardware is bad).
