Not a clue. Doesn't sound good, but may just be someting to do with
a TOY clock, but I don't think the 83 had one of those. Other possibilities
are the 60hz interrupt from the power line, or the main CPU's clock.
They used "clock" to refer to a lot of different things.

I suggust posting to alt.sys.pdp11 where there are a lot of
pdp-11 gurus hang out.
