Or give him _2_ telephones, a suitable impedance (the primary of a small
mains transformer) and 2 or 3 9V batteries... It's not hard to work out
how to link them up :-). Oh, and try to find a copy of 'Telephony' :-)

Seirously, I learnt by taking real things apart and reading the books, I
don't see why children today whould be denied the chance to learn too...
