I read that as being the RAM on the hard disk itself (cache memory; any
SCSI drive's going to have a few KB) being faulty; i.e. it doesn't mean
the RAM in the Indigo.

Try a different drive. I can't remember what the Indigo uses now - I
believe it's standard 50 pin SCSI for the drives, just the sled that the
drive sits in uses a strange connector. Probably someone on the list has
a spare drive, or someone on a local newsgroup. I've got a feeling both
of our Indigos have 450MB drives, so they don't need anything
particularly big.
