Aside from them being useful for audio equipment, like the ring
modulator that I'm building that uses tubes, they're also very useful
in electronic test equipment (e.g., VTVMs, TEK 500 series 'scopes,
etc.), etc. Tube circuits are also fun to create and work with; more
fun than solid-state.
