Have you got a host that supports PHP/MySQL? If so you can use the counter
I've slightly modified from the original that I use on my websites and
auctions. Totally free and can use either a text file or a MySQL database to
store the count.
If not I might be able to set it up to allow you to reference it from your
index page or whatever.
