Need help with Sparc-1 (SUN)

Hmmm, an ss1 is one I haven't seen for a long time.
Have you tried to boot it using the command 'boot cdrom -s'?
This will get you in single user mode.
Mount the disk (mount /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 /mnt) and modify the passwd file.
Standard procedure for cases were the root password was lost.
