You addresses your message to a general mailing list. But I assume you're
asking me, since I believe I'm the one who brought up MIDIBOARD and chip
seating problems a while back.

Yes, I still have it, and it's been working fine for quite a while now
(maybe 6 months, or closer to a year, I forget when I last had problems)
without having to reseat any chips. (KNOCK ON WOOD). I haven't done anything
about replacing the chip sockets with better quality ones.
