Nope. OS X is basically OpenSTEP. The OS X Unix API is basically
FreeBSD.
Although successive generations of OS X are dropping more and more of
the OpenSTEP Netinfo insanity in favor of flat-file configuration.
Panther (v10.3.x) really is the best of MacOS combined with the best
of UNIX. It's lovely.
