This sounds like make-argument, no offense! OK there are four (4)
USB connectors -- so what? Big (two ended) small (two ended).
Printers have big, cameras have small. What's the problem? It's
not perfect, but what is?

No, it's a non-starter, a non sequitur, USB doesn't address that
at all.

I like old stuff too (you should see my house & lab) but really,
just because it's new doesn't mean it's automatically bad, nor
vice-versa.
