Early DOS editors

I powered up my DOS computer and found the following information:

3.1c "MKS Toolkit" "Fri Sep 28 13:45:05 1990"

There are other useful programs, such as tar, diff, du, df, deroff,
cpio, compress, wc, uudecode, uuencode, awk, ed, sed... in the
toolkit. There are 112 .exe files! I don't know who this "MKS" is and
if it is OK I can send those who are interested a copy (a tar ball,
that's for sure).
