It's the tape version of SDI. The drive ports of an HSC *are* SDI, but
HSCs support both disks and tapes there, while UDA50 and KDA50 controllers
usable with PDP-11s only support disks. (It may be possible that they
have secret undocumented support for tapes, but no PDP-11 OS can support
that, it would take a very sophisticated VAX OS with a full SCA
implementation.)
