This is ghastly.
I never have delicate stuff shipped other than FedEx, and in cases of
delicate and irreplaceable, or 'artefact', or delicate - I try and suggest
various means for proper packing. If the seller won't agree - no sale.
Even if the USPS has a reasonable delivery record, they have no
accountability whatsoever in most cases. "Recieved Damaged" means - "is no
my yob, mang" in most cases.
That being said, I'd give this to eBay for arbitration - just negging
the bastard is probably not going to alert him to his packaging
deficiencies.
What a waste... and an avoidable one.
