Hi
It is typical to see these trashed by shipping. I have one
as well that was roughed up by shipping, although not that
bad.
 Things I recommend for shipping:

1. Remove the motor and ship in separate box.
2. Get the right screws and lock down the pinter ass.
3. Remove the H connector between the printer and the keyboard.
4. Ship any stand in separate box.
5. Wrap things in serran wrap to keep packing material out.
6. Make simple wood frame and mount to piece of plywood.
7. Always use styrofoam popcorn to fill voids, when using blocks
of styrofoam to hold things in place.
8. It is a good idea to ship the plastic cover separately but
only if the print unit is mounted as in item 6 above.
