Nah, pulling computers out of skips and building beige boxes out of crap
and spares is definitely admissable. Builds geek cred.

I think everyone here has *something* they hauled out of a skip in daily
use - in my case it's a couple of hubs. I swapped the 5-tape DLT
changer for something, can't remember what now... Might actually have
just *given* it to one of my mates.

OTOH I did haul a 5' satellite dish out of a skip last night.
Long-range wifi, here we come!
