A better link is http://www.sun.com/edu/solaris (yes, I've got it
memorized, and I don't even like Solaris). It's version 2.6, and it covers
both x86 and that Sparc thingy. You've got to sign up with some sort of
developer program, and then they'll ship you for the cost of shipping and
handling the media. It's for educational and personal use only.

Sounds like a pretty sweet deal, and I'll probably get myself a copy in
case I ever get a Ultra cheap Sparc. One of the reasons I've avioded them
when I've had the chance was the trouble of getting an OS (yes, I know
there are free alternatives). Almost everyone I've mentioned it to at work
wants a copy.
