Actually, Tiger Electronics made an Apple //e clone last year and released
it under the guise of the Tiger Learning Computer. It was an Apple //e
with a ROM drive emulating slot 6, drive 1. It had a mouse, a small LCD
screen, Appleoft BASIC in ROM, had an AppleWorks carthridge, and I believe
a port for an external disk drive. It sold for about $250 and the target
market was kids 4-8 or something like that. It was sort of like those
chinsy toy computers you see in the toy departments but it actually was a
real live computer based on the Apple //e.
