None that I know of. ESDI is just ST-506 with a faster data R/W
channel, therefore it's generally not possible to tell. If the
capacity is written on the drive, then MFM tops out at about 140Mb.
Anything above that is more likely ESDI (Especially if it a
Micropolis).
The only 'fer sure' way to know is to consult a drive
table.
